Performance
From a young age, Emerald demonstrated his world-class ability. As a six-year-old, he was Reserve Champion at the World Championships for Young Horses, foreshadowing his future success. Just five years later, he represented the Netherlands at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and was a finalist. His career highlights include a runner-up finish in the World Cup Final in Gothenburg and numerous international Grand Prix victories alongside his rider, Harrie Smolders.

As a competitor, he was French National Champion, a World Equestrian Games (WEG) team gold medalist in 2002, and a European team silver medalist in 2003.
