Toulon: A Stallion of Sporting Excellence and Proven Bloodlines

Toulon has built an outstanding legacy both in sport and breeding, consistently producing top-level international showjumpers. His career took off in 2003 with Wilm Vermeir, quickly making him one of the most talked-about young stallions in Belgium. His immense talent and presence in the ring earned him the title of Horse of the Year in 2007, solidifying his reputation as a BWP Ambassador.

Under Hubert Bourdy, Toulon represented France at the highest levels of competition, securing impressive results, including:

  • 9th place – Gold League, Lanaken (2006)

  • 5th place – Grand Prix, Brussels (2006)

  • 1st place – Top performance stallion in France, earning the highest BLUP score ever recorded

Grand Prix Success in 2007

Toulon’s success extended across the Global Champions Tour (GCT) and Nations Cup events, with podium finishes in some of the world’s most prestigious competitions:

  • 1st place – GP GCT São Paulo, Brazil

  • 2nd place – GP GCT Spruce Meadows, Canada

  • 2nd place – GP Coupe des Nations, Rome, Italy

  • 4th place – GP GCT Valkenswaard, Netherlands

  • 5th place – GP GCT Arezzo, Italy

  • 9th place – GP GCT Cannes, France

In 2008, Toulon transitioned to a new rider, Jonella Ligresti (Italy), continuing to perform admirably on the international stage.
